Our ACTS School channels the acts of the Apostles.
ACTS stands for Apostolic Centre for Training and Sending. You might wonder at the Sending part of that name but think of the life of a missionary sent out to promote Christianity. That glory of God manifestation must start somewhere.
We hope it begins or is developed with us.
ACTS represents the founding of the New Testament and the spread of its message. However, our ACTS school is non-denominational and multi-cultural. We embrace anyone who feels a fire in their heart to penetrate cultures previously untouched by the hand of Jesus.
Our mission is not of competing with the work God is already doing in our world but on the expansion and completion of that work. We want to see His great commission filled and it is our intent to grow families and individuals to carry out that task.
That’s why the name of our school reflects the opportunities made available for students to walk God’s existing pathways. It sets out to achieve what it states by generating passionate, able and qualified people to open the hearts and minds of others.
The purpose of our Apostolic Centre for Training and Sending is clearly stated in our Mission Statement – a document not only established for our school’s direction but also as a promise in our Father’s name.
We want to be a school of revivalists, a hub for training and sending and a platform for people with the heart to launch into replying to God’s call. We want to express the love of God through the different skills and talents that He has given us, and reach out to those in need with compassion, humility, joy, faith and love.
Being a missionary doesn’t always mean travelling overseas; missions in the marketplace (our schools, workplaces, family and home neighbourhoods) also fulfil what it means to be a missionary.
Our school is like the holy centre of a circle. Our courses, students and staff are the ever-expanding concentric ripples mobilised to reach out increasingly wider to the local community, the nation and the world.
